The Islamic Arts Society was the major partner for the MFAH Islamic Arts Family Day 2025. The event celebrated creativity and culture. The Islamic Arts Family Day was a vibrant, all-ages event inspired by the Museum’s Art of the Islamic Worlds collection. In partnership with the Islamic Arts Society of Houston and the Ismaili Council for Southwestern USA—and generously sponsored by H-E-B—this day offered hands-on artmaking, live performances, and interactive experiences for the whole family. Participants created traditional works of art alongside practicing artists from the Islamic Arts Society, including Arabic calligraphy, Iznik ceramic painting, and Turkish Ebru paper marbling.  This immersive event invited visitors of all ages to explore the rich artistic traditions of the Islamic world through fun, engaging, and educational activities.
